نامه سرهنگ مك گلاسكي فرمانده حفاظت اشرف (مزدور بتول سلطانی)

دوران 4 ساله وجود كمپ پناهندگي اشرف ( آرك )  ، تعداد زيادي از ساكنان در آرك درخواست كردند كه با كمك صليب سرخ به ايران برگردانده شوند . بعد از برگرداندن آنها ، ما هرگز به جز يكي از آن نفرات كه يك زن بنام بتول سلطاني بود ، خبر ديگري از آنها نشنيديم .
بتول در تاريخ ژانويه 2008 به ايران برگردانده شد و در فوريه 2008 او به عراق برگشت ، با يك پاسپورت ايراني و داستاني كه او از دست مامورين ايراني در بغداد فرار كرده بود .
او سپس شروع به اعتراض در مقابل درب ورودي اصلي كمپ اشرف كرد با اين عنوان كه همسر او بر خلاف ميلش در كمپ نگه داشته شده است .
من با همسر سابق  او  چندين بار مصاحبه كردم و او هيچ تمايلي به ترك كمپ نداشت . ( نظر من اين بود كه بتول براي نيروي قدس ايران كار ميكرد ) .
آمريكا معتقد بود كه با داشتن كمپ پناهندگي در مجاورت كمپ اشرف اين ديگران را تشويق ميكند كه  سازمان را ، در يك پروسه ”  از هم پاشي دلپذير ( نرم – م ) ” كه سر انجام به بستن كمپ اشرف منتهي ميشود ، ترك كنند . اين آرزو به تحقق نپيوست ...

During the 4 years existence of the ARC a large number of the residents in the ARC requested to be repatriated to Iran with the assistance of the Red Cross. After repatriation we never heard from those individuals again with the exception of a woman by the name of Batul Soltani.
    Batul was repatriated to Iran in January of 08 and by February of 08 she returned to Iraq with an Iranian passport and a story that she had escaped Iranian agents in Baghdad.
    She then started protesting at the main entrance to Camp Ashraf indicating that her husband was being held in the camp against his will.
    I interviewed her former husband several times and he had no desires to leave the camp.  (It was my informed opinion that Batul was working for the Iranian Quds Force.)
 The US believed that by having the Refugee Camp adjacent to Camp Ashraf is would encourage others to leave the organization through a process of "Graceful Degradation" which would eventually lead to the closure of Camp Ashraf.  That desirable outcome did not occur….
